General Questions

  • We proudly serve customers throughout Brunswick County, including Shallotte, Southport, Oak Island, Holden Beach, Bolivia, Sunset Beach, Ocean Isle Beach, and Calabash. We also offer complimentary pickup and delivery throughout much of this area.

  • No appointment is necessary. Simply stop by Shallotte Cleaners or Southport Cleaners during business hours and drop off your items. Our team will take care of the rest.

  • Shallotte Cleaners has served the community since 1947, and Southport Cleaners opened in 1997. Owners Allan and Cindy Cheatham have decades of industry experience and are proud to continue serving the local community.

Services & Cleaning

  • We clean a wide variety of garments and household items including:

    • Business suits and dress shirts

    • Dresses and formalwear

    • Wedding gowns and heirloom garments

    • Comforters, bedding, and linens

    • Leather, suede, and specialty items

    • Rugs and household textiles

    • Uniforms and military garments

    If you have a specialty item, feel free to bring it in and our team will evaluate the best cleaning method.

  • Yes. Same-day service is available Monday through Friday when items are dropped off by 9:00 AM, depending on the type of garment and cleaning requirements.

  • Our team has decades of experience with professional stain removal, including stains from wine, grease, rust, ink, and more. While some stains may require special treatment, we always use the safest methods possible to restore your garments.

Pickup & Delivery

  • Getting started is easy. Simply sign up through our pickup and delivery form, and we’ll add you to one of our delivery routes. We provide reusable bags for your items, pick them up on your scheduled day, and return them freshly cleaned and ready to wear.

  • Yes. Our pickup and delivery service is complimentary within our service area. You only pay for the cleaning services you use, there are no delivery fees.

  • We send a text reminder the night before your scheduled pickup day. Simply reply to confirm you have items ready for pickup.

Specialty Services

  • Yes. Our owner Allan Cheatham is a Certified Wedding Gown Specialist, and our team is trained through the Drycleaning & Laundry Institute (DLI). We provide wedding gown cleaning, pressing, and heirloom preservation.

  • Yes. We professionally clean comforters, bedding, linens, and other household textiles. We also offer area rug cleaning through a trusted professional partner, with pickup available within our service area.

  • Yes. We provide common clothing alterations and repairs including hemming, zipper repair, button replacement, and uniform patch sewing.
